Counts are Back Up

As of my check up yesterday, my counts are back on the rise.  Platelets are still a little low, but have come up since my last check up.  Everything should be fine in time to start round 4 (the LAST ROUND!) next week.  Thanks to everyone for the prayers.

We are scheduled to be back at MD Anderson at 9 AM on Wednesday of next week (November 4th).  I'm meeting with a doctor that does stem cell harvesting, and they are going to run an echocardiogram and pulmonary function test.  Nothing major.  Some time after finishing chemo, I will have stem cells harvested as an insurance policy.  After those appointments, I'll have the standard lab work, see the doctor, wait for a room routine.

I've been feeling pretty good the last few days.  I checked out a laptop yesterday and started working again today.  I should be able to work through Tuesday of next week now.  At least I won't be bored!

Thanks to everyone for the Happy Anniversary wishes.  We did have a nice anniversary given the circumstances.  Josh picked up some delicious lunch, and we ate the top layer of our wedding cake and some coconut cake (that I actually had the energy to make) for dessert.  The wedding cake was still just as good as it was at the wedding.  I'm very blessed to have such a wonderful hubby, and I look forward to many, many more anniversaries with him.

 Our yummy cake :)

Dear Josh and Sarah,

I had not forgotten your first anniversary and am so glad you got at least some semblance of a celebration. The rising cell counts are good news! You are both constantly in my prayers, and I look forward to seeing you soon!

Love,
Aunt Keitha

Hey Sarah and Josh: Happy Halloween! We just wanted you to know that we've been following your progress with the blog, and your updates and great attitudes can serve as an inspiration to anyone facing such a challenge.

We were in similar circumstances four years ago so we know how difficult this can be. Thankfully we serve a great and wonderful God who always seems to work things out for us. We have every faith that you will be back in good health in no time.

Candi was mentioning earlier how it seems like just a few weeks ago when your family was in Orlando. A lot has happened for you since then, and we just wanted you to know how much we are thinking of you and keeping you in our prayers. Please keep your wonderful spirit alive and the Lord will do the rest.

Uncle Tom and Aunt Candi
