I had the PICC line removed from my arm today and the new CVC put in near my collar bone. It was relatively painless, other than now I feel like someone gave me a good punch in the shoulder. Other than that, I had to see a couple of doctors to go over the stem cell business. It's looking like they will harvest the stem cells on Monday, but it could be sooner (pray that it is!) if my cell counts cooperate. The "harvesting" is not a big deal. I will go to a little outpatient clinic and spend around 4 hours in bed hooked up to a machine watching TV. If they don't get enough stem cells the first time (pray that they do!), then I'll go back each day until they do.
My dad came today and took Josh with him when he left. Tonight will be the first night we've spent apart since we've been married. My mom is here with me. We are all tired at this point and ready to be home, but still so thankful that things are going well. Hopefully, we will be home by the beginning of next week - for good!
